Was wondering if we could have anything other than a solid colour. Say, a picture - or maybe even an animated .gif

I know that's not in standard options but I wonder if there's a way to do it. Could it be done through API?

Staff have to spend a fair bit of time looking at this thing, so we figure we should make the most of it if we can.

Another option would be for it to do different colours depending on day of the week

I can do the feature request myself, it's all good. But I would like to hear from the devs if API can handle this. I honestly haven't found any good uses for the API yet but this might be one, maybe
